Historical Attractions

St. Croix has a rich and fascinating history best experienced on a self-guided driving tour on the St. Croix Heritage Trail that traverses the entire length of the island. Explore St. Croix’s historic sites, Danish Sugar Cane plantation ruins, cultural attractions, natural areas and historic churches along the way. The top historical landmarks on St. Croix include Fort Frederik, the Frederiksted Fishing Pier, Christiansted National Historic Site, the Whim Plantation Museum, Columbus Landing at Salt River, the historic Hams Bluff Lighthouse, Point Udall, the plantation ruins at Estate Mount Washington and the famous Cruzan Rum distillery. 

Botanical Gardens

Distilleries & Breweries

Some of the world’s finest rums are produced right here on St. Croix Island! Travel east along Highway 66 to discover 39 flavors of rum and locally brewed Caribbean craft beer at St. Croix’s historic distilleries and breweries. St. Croix Island is home to the Cruzan Rum Distillery dating back to 1760, the state-of-the-art distillery Captain Morgan Distillery, Leatherback Brewing Company with a rotating selection of locally brewed craft beer, and Sion Farm Distillery where MUTINY Island Vodka, the world’s first breadfruit based vodka is produced. Self-guided and guided distillery tours are available. 

Island Casinos

There are two casinos on St. Croix, the Caravelle Casino in Christiansted and Divi Carina Bay near Grapetree Beach on the east end of the island.
